Black
Pepper (Piper nigrum): Black pepper
stimulates the plasma and the blood, the nervous system,
the spleen and reduces fat. It is beneficial for chronic
indigestion, toxins in the colon, sinus congestion,
and can stimulate the circulation to help warm hands
and feet. Black pepper has long been recognized as an
ingredient for stimulating the appetite as well as an
aid in the relief of nausea. In India, it is widely
used in the treatment of a variety of ailments ranging
from paralysis to toothache. |

Ginger
(Zingiber officinale): Ginger is classic tonic
for the digestive tract. It is a pungent, sweet herb
with warming/drying qualities. It is highly effective
in the treatment of nausea caused by motion sickness,
morning sickness or other illness. It acts as a stimulant,
diaphoretic (causing perspiration), antidepressant,
and expectorant (helps to expel mucus from the lungs).
It stimulates all tissues of the body. Ginger is recommended
in the treatment of colds, coughs, flu, indigestion,
vomiting, belching, abdominal pain, motion sickness,
laryngitis, arthritis, hemorrhoids, headaches, impotence,
diarrhea and memory loss. |
Cloves
(Syzygium aromaticum (L.)): Clove is the most
stimulating and carminative (beneficial for the digestive
system) of all aromatics. It is effective as analgesic
(pain reliever), expectorant and stimulant. It has antifungal
properties and can be used as internal deodorizer, freshening
the breath and reducing body odor. It is recommended
in the treatment of colds, coughs, asthma, laryngitis,
pharyngitis, toothache, indigestion, vomiting, hiccups,
and low blood pressure. |
Fennel
(Foeniculum vulgare): Fennel has good diuretic
(helps to produce urine and remove water from the body),
antimicrobial and antiseptic properties. It helps eliminate
toxic waste from the body making it valuable in treating
arthritis and cellulite. It reduces digestive spasm,
calms and tones the stomach and digestive system. It
is effective in the treatment of nausea, indigestion,
constipation and cramps. Due to its rebalancing effect
on hormones, fennel is useful for women during the menopause.
Fennel also makes a good mouthwash. |
Green
cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum): Cardamom
is mainly used as a digestive remedy because of its
soothing, antispasmodic, and digestive properties. It
is useful in the treatment of indigestion, flatulence,
abdominal pain, heartburn, bloating, nausea and bad
breath. It aids the respiratory problems such as coughs,
colds, bronchitis and asthma. It has a wonderful, stimulating,
and tonic effect on mind and body. |
Cinnamon
bark (Cinnamomum zeylanium): Cinnamon
is a pungent, sweet astringent with stimulating and
heating qualities. It acts as a diaphoretic, antispasmodic
(relieves spasms and cramps), analgesic (pain reliever),
and diuretic and has antibacterial, antifungal qualities.
It is recommended in the treatment of respiratory ailments
such as colds, sinus congestion and bronchitis. As a
digestive aid, it relieves dyspepsia and flatulence,
intestinal infections and parasities. It aids in circulation
and helps alleviate anemia. |
Cumin
(Cuminum cyminum): Cumin has a pungent, bitter
effect with neutral to cooling properties. It acts as
a blood cleanser, a carminative (settles the digestive
system and relieves flatulence), and aids in the absorption
of nutrients to the system. It is antispasmodic, alterative
(corrects disordered bodily functions) and acts as a
lactogogue (encourages the production of milk in the
breasts). It is useful in the treatment of digestive
disorders, nervous conditions, anemia, migraine and
allergies. It builds up the immune system. |

available in loose pack (without tea bags) in various
quantities for export. |

spices taste best when consumed without milk. We recommend
not to mix milk as that dilutes the flavour of the spices.
The results are best when used boiling water and the
tea bag allowed to steep for a minimum of 2 minutes.
We suggest adding some kind of sweetener, sugar or honey. |
