Description:
Pale yellow or yellowish or pinkish in colour. Strongly aromatic with a sweet characteristic odor, displaying a peculiar creamy-fruity topnote and sweet-woody dryout.
Method of Extraction:
From the dried comminuted rhizomes of Valeriana jatamansi Jones by steam distillation.

Used as a flavouring agent in the confectionery industry and in the manufacture of soft drinks. Also used in the pharmaceutical and perfumery industries.

Although highly medicinal, avoid internal and external use as oil is toxic due to high concentration of methyl salicylate. Keep out of the reach of children.
